Owner and Managing Broker
Julie Pogue Properties
Pogue first found her passion for working with and making people happy when she began teaching elementary school in Indiana, where her husband was a pilot in the Air Force. When she moved to Louisville in 1994, she instantly fell in love with Louisville's small town feel and its promise of a growing mid size city. By combining her passion for people and the Louisville community, she began her real estate career with Semonin Realtors and earned "Rookie of the Year" in her first twelve months. After moving to Remax Properties East and again earning recognition as the highest performer with their coveted Platinum Club Award, she decided to open her own boutique real estate firm where she felt she could bring a new quality of service to the home buying and selling experience. In her first year, she sold more than any other real estate agent in the city, which gave her the confidence to keep going.
As a broker and realtor, from the start of Julie Pogue Properties in 2003 her focus has been providing her clients with individual attention to their home needs through the entire process – from finding the right neighborhood and making an offer to overseeing all the paperwork and closing details. Every client has their own unique circumstances – she works to really get to know her clients, their families and their needs in the home buying and selling process so that she can help make each home transaction as happy and stress-free as possible. With each client, her goal is to find them a home. She wants them to walk away from each sale knowing they have found a place where they can build their lives and make memories.
Through the years, her business has expanded to include numerous neighborhoods and a broad range of price points. Pogue has consistently been one of the highest grossing real estate agents in the Louisville area and the entire state, which is a tribute to the level of service she provides for each and every client.
When Pogue is not selling real estate, she enjoys spending time with her family (husband, Eddie and their two children, Elizabeth and Andrew) and giving back to the Louisville community. She has served in numerous leadership positions for civic, charity and professional organizations, including the Kentucky Derby Festival Board of Directors, Junior League, National Association of Women Business Owners, Kappa Delta Alumni, Anchorage Civic Club, Greater Louisville Incorporated, Leadership Louisville, IPA Wives Club and Cancer Moms of Kentucky Group. She is also the current president of the Kentucky Women's Forum, a subsidiary of the International Women's Forum, which spans across five continents, 23 nations and has 64 affiliate forum locations connecting the world's most preeminent women leaders.
