Biography

Prior to assuming the role of communications coordinator at Bader Philanthropies, Gonzales was a grants specialist, a program administrator, and the national director of alumni relations for public allies. In her professional leadership role, Gonzales served at the "headhunter" for the Public Allies Alumni Leadership Network of nearly 2,800 program graduates and former staff. As the primary relationship manager for the alumni network, she was responsible for connecting program graduates with each other and with opportunities to advance their leadership.

Gonzales served as the deputy assistant to the president (1995-2000) and director of operations and alumni relations (2000-2001), where she supported communication, information flow and other services among the national office, local offices and key stakeholders, including national and local board members, alumni and nonprofit partners. She started her career at the Corporation for National Service's Office of Public Liaison in the District of Columbia, where she worked on nonprofit and philanthropic partnerships.

Gonzales is committed to strengthening the Milwaukee community and has a deep passion for women and children's issues. She is an active community leader with various organizations, including the Junior League of Milwaukee and the Parenting Network. She currently serves as the president of the Parenting Network Board of Directors and the immediate past president of the Junior League of Milwaukee.
