New Jersey Council for County Vocational Technical Schools
Jacqueline Burke is currently the assistant executive director of the New Jersey Council for County Vocational Technical Schools. Prior to that she was the development associate at the Alice Paul Institute and the director of the New Jersey Women's Policy Initiative (formerly Women's Policy Institute). Burke is also an adjunct professor at Drexel University's school for public policy where she teaches case study classes for students pursing a masters degree in public policy.
Burke spent eight years with the New Jersey Senate Democratic Office. Most recently, she held the position of associate executive director in charge of research and policy. In that position Burke supervised all research and policy staff. She also served as staff counsel to the Education and Judiciary committees where she worked on many major pieces of legislation including the School Funding Reform Act. She also worked as a prosecutor in Philadelphia.
She received a BA in Psychology from the University of Miami and a JD from Harvard Law School. Burke resides in Moorestown, New Jersey with her husband and has two boys.
