Transfer Instant Decision Days

Submitting a college application doesn't have to mean weeks of waiting for a decision. Prospective transfer students can make an appointment to meet with an admissions counselor and receive an admission decision that day.

These appointments are available for applicants interested in beginning classes in September 2016 for the fall term. Please call 1.800.2.DREXEL for specific availability and to register.

Westphal Instant Decision Days Upcoming Dates

Instant Decision Days for students interested in Drexel's Westphal College of Media Arts & Design will be taking place on June 8, June 22, and July 6.

Appointments are open to applicants interested in all Westphal College of Media Arts & Design programs except:

  • Music Industry

Transfer Instant Decision Days Upcoming Dates

Transfer Instant Decision Days appointments are available every Wednesday as well as on the first Friday and third Tuesday of each month.

Appointments are open to full-time transfer students only interested in all programs except:

  • Custom-Designed Major
  • Nursing Accelerated Career Entry (ACE)
  • Westphal College of Media Arts & Design (only available on dates specified above)

Requirements Prior to Scheduling an Appointment

Online Application

You must have an active application on file for the term you are applying for before you register for an appointment. Please note that if you utilize The Common Application, it may take up to seven days after submitting the application for it to be active in the University's records.

Dance Program Audition

It is recommended that applicants to the Dance program submit a videotaped audition prior to Westphal Instant Decision Days.

  • The audition must consist of two two-minute solos in different genres of dance.
  • Auditions may be submitted via a YouTube or Vimeo link to Dance Program Director Valerie Ifill at vifill@drexel.edu.

What to Bring

Students who have completed fewer than 24 college credits and have graduated from high school no more than two years ago

  • Official high school transcript
  • SAT or ACT score results
  • Official college transcripts from all institutions attended

Students who have completed 24 or more college credits

  • Official college transcripts from all institutions attended

In order for you to meet with an admissions counselor and receive a decision, please note the following:

  • You must bring all official transcripts and test scores (including military transcripts if applicable). These must be official documents provided in a sealed envelope from each college or university (or high school, if applicable per above).
  • Letters of recommendation are welcome, though not required.

Westphal College of Media Arts & Design Applicants

  • Portfolio/writing supplement (This is different than the essay discussed below.)
    • Mandatory for certain majors and highly encouraged for other specific majors.
    • To view the list of which programs ask for a portfolio or writing supplement (either mandatory or optional), please visit our Transfer Instructions page.
  • The required essay can be submitted prior to your appointment, or you may bring it with you.
  • Relevant coursework in design, art, and studio courses, including course descriptions and syllabi
    • This is not mandatory but is highly encouraged.

The University reserves the right to request additional information to aid in the proper review of your file; in such cases your transfer instant decision may be delayed.
