After You Return

Welcome back! Your study abroad doesn't end with your flight back to the US. In this section, you'll find more information about topics important to your transition back to Philadelphia.

Grades & Transcripts
Depending on the type of program you go on, your grades apply to your Drexel transcript in a variety of ways. Your grades will be processed as soon as your transcript is received.

Marketing Your Experience
You may describe your study-abroad experiences as “wonderful” and “life-changing”, but do you know how to describe what you've learned about yourself and the world to a potential employer or in a graduate school application?

Reverse Culture Shock
You have been prepared for culture shock upon your arrival to a new and unfamiliar country, but what about reverse culture shock? Anyone who goes abroad for a long period of time is subject to experiencing reverse culture or reentry shock.

How to Stay Global
Now that you're back in Philadelphia, there's still ways to stay globally minded here at Drexel and in the city. Not only are there opportunities to work or volunteer with Drexel Global, there are also internationally themed courses, groups, and organizations.

Annual Photo Contest
Every winter term, students who studied abroad can (and should) submit to the annual photo contest. Photo contest winners receive Amazon gift cards (yay!).
