International Student Employment
International Students in the United States have very specific regulations regarding employment.
F-1 and J-1 students should NOT begin any type of employment without ensuring that they have proper work authorization. Working without authorization is considered a serious violation of immigration status that can result in termination. When in doubt, please consult with an ISSS advisor or refer to the information provided on our website regarding F-1/J-1 employment regulations.
