The James E. Marks Intercultural Center (JEMIC) embraces the uniqueness of Drexel’s many cultural, religious and identity groups and supports the vision of the Intercultural Engagement & Diversity Initiative, which was launched in late 2008 to encourage intercultural engagement, build intercultural competency, and support life-long learning among Drexel’s diverse community of students, faculty, professional staff, alumni and community partners.
The JEMIC offers some unique locations specifically designed for the practice of spirituality and religion. These spaces include the Interfaith Chapel, the St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Chapel, a Muslim Prayer Room, an Interfaith Lounge and the offices of the members of the Interfaith Council.
