SPRING 2014

Health Insurance Requirement - Student Health Insurance Plan Highlight Sheet

All full time domestic students and full time graduate International students are required to demonstrate proof of health insurance each academic year. Drexel University offers a Student Health Insurance plan through Aetna Student Health to all students who do not have health insurance coverage. Students are able to demonstrate proof of insurance through a waive process or enroll in the Drexel sponsored plan on line.

International Undergraduate Students must purchase the Drexel Dragon Plan and will be default enrolled (the Dragon Preferred plan is also offered and if a student is interested in this please contact us at healthimmu@drexel.edu). The only plan that will be accepted in lieu of the Dragon Plan will be Embassy sponsored coverage.  It is the student’s responsibility to notify the Office of Health Insurance & Immunizations if you have Embassy sponsored coverage.

All students must remember to complete their Health Insurance requirement. The deadline date for Winter start students to comply with the health insurance policy is January 30, 2014. Failure to complete your Health Insurance requirement by this date will result in default enrollment into the Drexel Student Health Insurance Plan for the full academic year (Dragon Plan). Once this charge is placed on the student account it cannot be removed and students are responsible for the premium.
