If you or someone you know is experiencing a psychological emergency (for example: feeling suicidal, experiencing psychotic symptoms, or having a substance related crisis) we recommend that you go to the nearest emergency room for an immediate evaluation. If you are on campus, you may call Drexel Public Safety at (215) 895-2222 to help transport you, or call 911.
At times you may be unsure of what to do in a specific situation. If this occurs during normal business hours, you may call the Counseling Center at (215) 895-1415. However, if it is after normal business hours, you may call the On-Call Counselor at (215) 416-3337 (for Drexel University students only), or the Philadelphia Suicide and Crisis Center at (215) 686-4420.

A crisis and suicide intervention line. They will assess the acuity of the situation and provide recommendations for the next step. They can also arrange for on-site intervention by a mobile crisis team who can evaluate, refer, transport to CRC, and help family and friends initiate a hospitalization process if appropriate.
