PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING THE GENERAL WELL-BEING OF THE DREXEL COMMUNITY
The offices within Counseling & Health support Drexel Online students with personal, physical, and psychological challenges that may interfere with their ability to complete their academic goals. Drexel strives to educate students to embrace good health practices and offers services to assist with maintaining good health, psychologically and physically.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
If you are experiencing a medical or psychological emergency, please call 911 immediately for assistance in your geographic area.
The professional staff of the Drexel University Counseling Center recognizes that the challenges of college life require a variety of personal strengths and problem solving skills. This may especially be true for students who are completing their coursework through Drexel Online, as you may be balancing your education with family, work, or other life responsibilities.
PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AND HEALTHY BEHAVIOR
The Counseling Center provides services to online students primarily through web site resources and telephone consultations. However, some services may be offered for in-person use if students live close to campus and meet additional criteria. Free, confidential counseling sessions are available to FULL TIME undergraduate and graduate students who can travel to campus. For PART TIME students the Counseling Center can offer a one-time consultation meeting to help you identify your personal concerns so that you can find appropriate resources in your area. If these criteria apply to you and you would like more information about how to schedule an appointment, please e-mail email@example.com or call 215.895.1415.
The Counseling Center has two on-campus locations. On the University City campus we are located in Room 201 on the Second Floor of the Creese Student Center (at 3210 Chestnut St.). On the Center City campus we are located in Suite 315 of the Bellet Building (at 1505 Race St.).
The staff of the Counseling Center is committed to offering a safe, welcoming environment for all students regardless of their racial or ethnic identity, culture, nationality, socioeconomic status, religious or spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, and/or physical ability. We highly value diversity and aspire to create a respectful, safe space for all students.

HEALTH INSURANCE AND IMMUNIZATIONS:
POLICY COMPLIANCE PROMOTES A HEALTHY CAMPUS
The Office of Health Insurance and Immunizations provides important information regarding compliance with Drexel University's health insurance and immunization policies. These policies exist to ensure the health and well-being of all members of the Drexel community, including Drexel Online students, using guidelines of the American College Health Association and the Center for Disease Control.
ALL FULL TIME Drexel Online students are required to demonstrate proof of health insurance each academic year. Drexel University offers a Student Health Insurance plan through Aetna Student Health to all students who do not have health insurance coverage. Students are able to demonstrate proof of insurance through a waiver process or enroll in the Drexel sponsored plan online.
