Learning Hour - Boost Your Conflict Competence

Friday, February 15, 2013

11:00 AM-12:00 PM

Conflict can be uncomfortable, but avoiding it or managing it poorly can damage relationships and keep you from reaching your goals. In this Learning Hour, we will explore your reactions and natural approaches to conflict, learn how to choose effective strategies for different conflict situations and apply a classic conflict resolution technique. Participants should come prepared with a personal real-world conflict situation for a brief case exercise. As Manager, Training & Organization Development, Jennifer Livingston supports Drexel Medicine’s clinical practices in delivering great patient-centered care. She originally joined Drexel as a consultant on the Human Resources Learning & Development team, where she led professional development programs and organization development initiatives. Objectives for this unique learning opportunity include: · Explore your reactions and natural approaches to conflict · Learn how to choose effective strategies for different conflict situations · Apply a classic conflict resolution technique.
