    In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr holiday, Drexel University will host a panel discussion that will reflect upon and honor the history of the Civil Rights movement. This discussion will also draw parallels and distinctions from the Civil Rights era to the current protests here in the United States. The panelists will include law professors, historians, community members, and young leaders from Philadelphia.

    This event is being held in conjunction with Hagerty Library’s upcoming public exhibit “Young Crusaders: Children and Young People’s Contributions to the Civil Rights Movement.”

    This event is co-sponsored by Hagerty Library, the College of Arts and Sciences, Africana Studies, The Student Center for Inclusion and Culture, the Lindy Center, the Department of English and Philosophy, Earle Mack School of Law, and Drexel Black Graduate Student Union.

    Homecoming Court members serve as student representatives at Homecoming events throughout Spirit Week and Homecoming. The three men and three women chosen by the selection committee will be voted on by all students during the week leading up to homecoming to determine who will be Homecoming King and Queen.

    The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the Homecoming men's basketball game on Jan. 24 and will each receive a $250 scholarship.
