Commuter and Transfer Student Engagement hosts several signature events each year which celebrates the commuter and transfer experience. Check-out the information below on these exciting and fun events.
Commuter Connection Day (CCD) is a program designed to help transition undergraduate, first year commuter students to campus and engage them in the Drexel community. Furthermore, CCD not only connects students to campus, but provides fun and educational programs designed to provide practical knowledge on how to successfully navigate Drexel as a commuter student.
The 2014 Commuter Connection will take place on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014.
For more information, please visit the Commuter Connection Day registration page.
The Annual Commuter Car Show features Drexel commuters at their best! Typically taking place in May, Students submit their own vehicles to be voted on by all Drexel students, faculty and staff - both on-campus and online. Students submit their cars and motorcycles in various categories from the Hottest Car to the Dumpiest Car.
To see information from this year's Car Show on May 14, 2014, please visit the Commuter Car Show page.
Drexel, in partnership with the University of the Sciences, hosts an Annual Housing Fair in April to help students navigate the housing search process. Property Managers, City Agencies and Local business come from around the area to help educate students about available housing, community resources and services for students living off campus.
The 2014 Drexel Off-campus Housing Fair took place on Thursday, April 10 from 3-6 p.m. at the Drexel Armory.

The week before Thanksgiving is an exciting time for CTSE as the Office hosts the Annual Commuter and Transfer Thanksgiving Luncheon. This event focuses on first-year commuter and transfer students, and brings them together for a traditional Thanksgiving meal to celebrate their first term at Drexel.
In June of 2013, Commuter and Transfer Student Engagement (CTSE) hosted The Drexel Community Flea Market. This event focused on providing students moving out of their apartments in Powelton Village and students moving out of the Residence Halls the opportunity to sell, recycle or donate items they no longer wish to keep. Students, faculty and staff may also sell items in which they have created such a clothing, jewelery, knick knacks, etc.... In addition, the Flea Market provided an opportunity for students to reduce the amount of waste they are producing and to keep our Drexel Community and local neighborhood free from trash.
In 2014, CTSE moved in a new direction to better fulfill the foundational mission of providing students and community members the oppotunity to appropriately dispose of trash, reduce waste and donate quality items to the community. As a result, Reuse, Recycle and Restore came into being. RRR is a partnership with University Housing, Drexel Public Safety, Drexel Green, Senior Year Experience, the University City District, the Powelton Village Civic Association and the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement.
