Advisor Resources and Information

Student organizations, as part of the recognition process, are required to have a full-time faculty/staff advisor.  The advisor serves in a support capacity, mentoring and guiding club leaders and members. The Office of Campus Activities encourages student organizations and advisors to develop mutual expectations for the relationship. Student organizations should maintain regular communication with their advisor.

OCA offers Advisors use of the Student Organization Advisor's Resource Manual. This resource is complete with information to help advisors serve effectively.  Lastly, the Advisor Expectations & Role Checklist is a valuable resource to help advisors and student leaders determine "agreement levels" with a variety of potential advisor roles.
