Urban Special Education Leaders for Tomorrow (USELT) Project

Drexel University School of Education

USELT1

The Urban Special Education Leaders for Tomorrow (USELT) Project is a unique initiative made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) that allows Drexel students who are enrolled in the program to take doctorate level courses in the Drexel School of Education's EdD in Educational Leadership and Management program.

Students learn valuable skills to prepare them to be diverse urban special education leaders to improve outcomes for children with disabilities and their families. Students also take a concentration in Special Education Leadership.

NOTE: USELT is an OSEP-funded Special Education Urban Leadership Personnel Preparation Project (2014-2019). Drexel School of Education currently has 10 fully supported Scholars enrolled in this EdD Program, who will complete their dissertations within the Grant period.

If the U.S Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs grants Drexel a second round of funding, a second cohort of USELT EdD students will be accepted in 2019.
