Welcome to CCUE!

The School of Education at Drexel University invites you to participate in our Critical Conversations in Urban Education (CCUE) Series which takes place in the fall and spring.  The events are intended to create a space for Drexel and Philadelphia communities to have ongoing dialog related to education in urban settings.  Each event provides greater connections between academics, students, families, policy makers, business stakeholders and community leaders.

The CCUE Series effectively stimulates critical discussions related to preparing urban educators, optimizing academic achievement for all students, and fostering university-community partnerships.  We would be honored to have you join us!

The CCUE was convened in the 2011-2012 academic year by Dr. Tina Richardson who was then the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Education. From its inception until 2014, the committee was co-chaired by Dr. Kristine Lewis Grant and Dr. Vera Lee. The current co-chairs are Dr. Deanna Hill and Dr. Rajashi Ghosh.
