MS in Special Education

As the number of students requiring special education services continues to rise, schools must increase their capacity to accommodate this diverse population with unique needs. Drexel’s MS in Special Education offers four areas of concentration that provide graduates with the in–depth knowledge and skills to teach in specific areas.

Special Education Certifications

The MS in Special Education prepares students to apply for Pennsylvania’s special education certification. Upon completion of the necessary requirements, Drexel University will recommend the student for the appropriate certification.

Online Delivery

The MS in Special Education, which is delivered entirely online, was recently named one of the best online master's programs in education.

Drexel University has been offering online courses since 1996, bringing its recognized faculty and curricula to a worldwide student body. Drexel is the winner of the 2010 Sloan-C Award for Excellence in Institution-Wide Online Education and is committed to providing quality, accredited programs online. This is a flexible program with no fixed class hours.

Drexel online programs offer the very same faculty, curriculum, and degree as Drexel's distinguished on-campus programs.

Advisement

Our students receive support from an academic advisor throughout the program. Advisors help students with course selection, graduation requirements and a variety of academic matters.
