About The Speaker
Peggy Kong, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Comparative and International Education at Lehigh University. Her research focuses on issues of poverty and equity in education in the East Asian context. She combines in-depth ethnographic work with survey data to delve into the relationships between poverty, school-family connections, and gender in rural China.

About the Global Education Colloquium:
Established
in November 2013, the Global Education Colloquium is a monthly Brown
Bag Lunch Series that features distinguished speakers and lively
discussion.
The topics presented will be the
result of research spanning the full range of learning, teaching and
training topics including international studies, higher education, peace
education, social justice, inequality, politics of knowledge, policy,
leadership and organizational change.

events are held the third Tuesday of every month on the main campus of
Drexel University, start promptly at 12 Noon. You are invited to bring
