Global Career Center

The Global Career Center (GCC) brings more than two decades of experience partnering with educational institutions around the world, host organizations from a wide range of industries, and learners of all ages to connect employability and education through collaborative program development, comprehensive services delivery, and curated experiential education. GCC builds programs collaboratively to fit the unique needs of the university partner focusing on team-based projects with mentors, internship placements, customized programs, and/or embedded employability services. GCC is committed to solution-driven partnerships and strategic collaborations that help build and nurture a global community, enhance workforce development, and successfully combine international education with applied learning.

GCC provides personalized co-op placement and supporting services for each student participant. The placement process and supporting services include an individual intake meeting, industry-specific resume review, customized employer outreach, facilitation of match with host organization, interview preparation, and coaching on topics ranging from skills articulation to professional communications. GCC will provide support for students including orientation for co-op, industry, and city, as well as ongoing mentorship related to the placement, with formal and informal feedback channels to help identify and discuss issues that arise during the internship. As an extension of the workplace experience, GCC will provide modules related to development of employability skills and global work competencies, as well as activities to connect with the local culture. The co-op is aligned with the student's area of study and takes place during the six-month co-op term, with a personalized placement process and internship timeframe mirroring the academic calendar. This is a six-month co-op experience via GCC, who will assist you in finding a co-op experience for your co-op cycle for an employer located in Singapore. Students will pay GCC a fee for securing their international co-op, and Steinbright will award participating students a stipend. Students should budget and plan for unpaid internships. Employers are encouraged to provide compensation or stipend if they are able. The likelihood of remuneration varies based on student experience level, local regulations, industry norms, economic trends, and host organization policies.
