Electronic Research Administration (eRA)

Electronic Research Administration (eRA) is a method of conducting research administration in an online, paperless environment. Many research sponsors, including the federal government, have moved from paper application and award management processes to online, paperless systems that require secure log-ins and institutional registrations. These advances in research administration technology help to streamline the proposal submission process as well as keep proprietary information safer than ever.

Drexel is currently implementing the Coeus eRA system in order to standardize processes with Pre-Award and Post-Award modules designed to assist Drexel’s research community with proposal development, tracking submitted proposals, and streamlining award acquisition and management. Future modules will include IRB, Subcontracts, Negotiations, and Conflict of Interest.
