Walking for Wellness
Join us for our summer series of Walking for Wellness! Starting on July 5th, we will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30 pm on the Drexel Recreation Center Fitness Plaza; in the event of rain, walks will be held in the Recreation Center basketball courts. Walks will last about a half-hour (approx. 1 mile) to start, and gradually increase the time/distance to 45 minutes/approx. 1.5 miles over the course of the summer. Fruit and water will be provided after the Tuesday walks.
Just a half-hour of walking can yield immense benefits for your physical and emotional health. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get outside during your lunch break and enjoy some fresh air, good company, and some delicious fresh fruit!

The Drexel Running Company
The Drexel Running Company fosters an environment where runners can grow together and be comfortable at the same time. We aim to provide room for growth and times when runners can push themselves when they feel ready.
Train with the Drexel Running Company this summer so that you can run in events/races in the fall like our very own City 6 5K on Saturday, November 5th, 2011!
Open to all Drexel University students, faculty, professional staff, and Recreation Center members
Mondays and Wednesdays @ 5:30pm, starting Wednesday, June 22 ("Learn Your Pace Day").

Bike Philadelphia
Max. 6 Riders per Trip
Cost: FREE
Let us introduce you to Philadelphia's urban bike trails connecting you to system of excellent mountain and road biking. The recreation center with the assistance of the Drexel Weekend Warriors will be conducting rides throughout Fairmont Park. These trips will introduce current bike riders to the excellent biking opportunities within the Philadelphia area. They are not intended to teach you to ride a bike.

Register:
At the climbing wall starting the Monday prior to the trip.
Requirements:
- All participants are required to be Drexel affiliate (must show Dragon Card)
- Riders must provide their own bike, in good condition, equipped with appropriate reflective head/tail lights and suitable for the terrain (ex. Mountain Bike for Mountain Bike rides, Road Bikes for Road Bike Rides)
- Riders must provide and wear a bike approved helmet.
- Riders are required to follow all traffic laws and remain with the group.
