Extramurals
Drexel University proudly participates in the Philadelphia City 6 Extramural Classic,
which for over 25 years has offered intramural teams the chance to compete against their
college peers from Villanova, St. Joe’s, LaSalle, Temple, and Penn. The teams compete in four city championship tournaments - flag football, volleyball, basketball and softball,
in addition a Charity 5K each spring.
Undergraduate champions of the men’s, women’s and co-recreational divisions from each university’s intramural leagues are eligible to play in these prestigious inter-league tournaments!
The program provides students with an opportunity to socialize and play with peers from neighboring colleges and universities and complete in some of the region’s best recreational facilities, including: the Palestra, Franklin Field, Alumni Field House and Villanova Stadium.

Drexel students can also get involved with other intramural tournaments
through PIRSA
(Pennsylvania Intramural-Recreational Sports Association)
and NIRSA (National Intramural-Recreational
Sports Association). Events are held on various regional, state and national levels.
For information on these tournaments, contact the Coordinator of Intramural Sports at imsports@drexel.edu for more information.
