Commendations and Complaints
It is the policy of the Drexel Police Department to accept, document, review and investigate all instances of alleged misconduct, including complaints regarding the policies and procedures of the department, and to take appropriate corrective action. All allegations of misconduct will be investigated whether initiated by citizen complaint, external agencies or discovered through the internal review processes of the department.
Filing a Complaint
Complaints may be submitted in person, by telephone, in writing, or by electronic submission.

Anonymous complaints are accepted for investigation; however, citizens are advised that the ability to investigate the complaint may be limited by their anonymity.
Upon receipt of a complaint, the Office of the Director of Police Operations will contact the submitting party advising that the matter is under investigation. The complainant will receive periodic status reports regarding the investigation and a written notice of the final disposition upon completion.
