11-03-09 - The Undergraduate Student Government Association honored Police Officer George McKnight with the inaugural Public Safety Appreciation Award.

“This award is given out to a Public Safety employee that exhibits outstanding student support and care for students needs,” said Andrew Gould, president of the Undergraduate Student Government Association.

Officer McKnight has been involved with policing for over 25 years and began his Drexel career in 2007 working as a Communications Supervisor in the Department of Public Safety. He was sworn in as a Drexel Police Officer on September 3, 2009.
