Chris Diaz Awarded Pat Tillman Scholarship
June 11, 2013 — Chris Diaz, a junior psychology major in the College of Arts and Sciences and United States Navy Veteran, has been awarded the Pat Tillman Scholarship from the Pat Tillman Foundation. This prestigious honor that actualizes the mission of the foundation provides competitive educational scholarships for select military veterans and their spouses. After serving 6 years in the US Navy, Chris joined Drexel and now hopes to continue his studies through the accelerated B.S/M.S. program in the Department of Psychology this fall. He is an active member of a clinical research laboratory in the Department of Psychology, under the direction of Drs. Arthur and Christine Maguth Nezu, where he is a key member in several scientific investigations. In addition to the honor of receiving the Tillman Scholarship, which carries with it a $10,000 yearly stipend, Chris was also awarded the Jeanne D. Brugger Award for the most outstanding junior psychology major at this year’s College of Arts and Sciences Honor Day and serves as the current vice-president of the Drexel Veterans Association.
