Master's Degree in Psychology

The Master of Science degree in the Department of Psychology, College of Arts & Sciences, is ideal for students interested in pursuing an advanced education in scientific psychology and research methods.

The program is an opportunity for students to take their first step into graduate education, and to begin a path toward further educational and career opportunities. These opportunities include further graduate-level training leading to a Ph.D., a career in research, or other educational and administrative opportunities. The curriculum is focused on training in a range of research experience in neurocognitive and behavioral sciences. In addition to required coursework, students are required to complete a minimum of 8 hours per week with a research mentor in laboratory activities. These activities culminate with the successful completion of an empirical thesis.

Drexel-Kaplan Graduate Degree Advantage Program

Any student who enrolls in the Drexel Master of Science in Psychology program after taking a Kaplan preparation course for the GRE will receive tuition credit equal to the amount paid to Kaplan for the preparation course. Students who have participated in Kaplan's private tutoring session in preparation for the GRE are eligible to receive a tuition credit of up to $1,200. Students will need to present the original receipts for the Kaplan course or tutoring session to the Graduate Admissions Office prior to enrollment and submit the completed Tuition Credit Request Form (PDF) to the Psychology Department.
