Awards and Publications

Research published by Daniel Korschun, Assistant Professor of Marketing, LeBow and a Fellow in the Center for Corporate Reputation Management, was listed among the Top 50 articles worldwide by Emerald’s Management Reviews. Korschun’s article, “Using Corporate Social Responsibility to Win the War for Talent,” was published in 2008 in MIT Sloan Management Review. As papers need at least three years to accumulate citation data, the 2012 Awards have been selected from papers published in 2008. A shortlist of the most highly cited papers for each subject area then goes to an editorial judging panel, who choose the final 50 best papers based on research impact using Emerald's Impact of Research quality criteria, developed in conjunction with editors of over 250 Emerald journals.

Jonathan Ziegert, associate professor of management at LeBow, received the Administrative Science Quarterly’s Award for Scholarly Contribution, presented annually to the “most significant paper published in ASQ five years earlier.” Ziegert’s paper was titled “Dynamic Delegation: Shared, Hierarchical, and DE individualized Leadership in Extreme Action Teams.”

LeBow Ph.D. graduate Marina Puzakova, who is joining the faculty at Oregon State University, won Drexel’s Outstanding Dissertation Award for the Social Sciences for her dissertation, titled “When Humanizing Brands Goes Wrong: The Detrimental Role of Brand Anthropomorphization Amidst Product Wrongdoings.”
