ELATE at Drexel®presents its 2018 Leaders Forum

March 7, 2018
CHUBB Conference Center, Lafayette Hill, PA

Leaders Forum

The ELATE at Drexel Leaders Forum is a unique opportunity for Fellows and their institutional leaders to discuss the wide range of organizational change initiatives addressed during the Fellowship year. The core of the Leaders Forum is a poster symposium showcasing the outcomes of the Fellows’ Institutional Action Projects—the capstone of the ELATE Fellowship year.

The symposium

  • highlights the Fellows’ accomplishments and leadership activities.
  • provides a space for content-rich interaction between fellows and guests.
  • supports collaboration on organizational change efforts across institutions.
  • demonstrates the overarching impact of ELATE Institutional Action Projects on organization improvement.

2018 ELATE Leaders Forum Agenda

7:45 –9:00 am Executive Mentors Breakfast (Deans, Provosts and Guest Leaders only)

This is a session for Deans, Provosts (or their designees) and other institutional leaders to meet with ELATE Leadership, to be updated on the program and to share approaches to advancing women faculty to leadership in their institutions.

9:15 am – 11:45 am IAP Project Symposium

Fellows and guests meet in a moderated session to expand lessons of leadership from the process and outcomes of the Fellows' Institutional Action Projects. Each Fellow will present her project and invite the audience to contribute to problem solving around the challenges of implementation.

11:45– 1:00 pm IAP Poster Session

Attendees are free to peruse the Fellows’ posters and to ask deeper questions about the institutional impact of the projects.

1:00 – 2:15 pm Lunch and Leader to Leader Dialogues with your Fellow(s)

This time is for Leaders and Fellows to meet to discuss next steps in the Fellows' leadership pathway. This is an extremely important part of the Forum, as it provides a time to discuss institutional leadership initiatives outside the distractions of the usual office day.

2:30 – 3:30 pm Graduation Ceremony

We invite you to stay on after the Forum to attend the Fellow's graduation and reception. This year we are pleased to have Dr. Stephanie G. Adams, Dean Batten College of Engineering & Technology, Old Dominion University, to deliver our graduation address.

3:30 – 4:30 pm Reception
