The Office of Academic Affairs is committed to creating a challenging and diverse environment for the more than 19,800 undergraduate and graduate students who attend Drexel as well as providing strong academic support to our more than 1,000 faculty.
Senior Vice Provost for Budget, Planning, & Administration
The Office of the Vice Provost for Budget, Planning, and Administration (VPBPA) is responsible for oversight of the Academic budgeting process and works closely with the Colleges to plan for faculty and staff hiring, special academic and research initiatives and the preparation of College budgets annually.

About the Interim Provost
James D. Herbert, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive behavior therapy (including newer mindfulness and acceptance-based models of behavior therapy), mood and anxiety disorders, remote Internet-based treatment, and the promotion of evidence-based practice in mental health. He is Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology and Director of the Anxiety Treatment and Research Program at Drexel University. He previously served as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, as Director of Clinical Training of Drexel’s Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology, and as Interim Head of the Department of Biology. ...more
