In just three minutes biomedical engineering student Riya Dhiman, won the 2024 STAR Scholars Quick Pitch Competition by compellingly presenting her research on optimizing human-robot interaction, using Pepper the robot and functional near-infrared spectroscopy.

The Teagle Civic Impact Award recognizes STAR Scholars Caitlin Betson and Chan Chung for their research contributions that significantly benefit the public good.
