Graduate Fellowships Workshop

Are you planning to apply for an external graduate fellowship this fall? Writing your first application for external funding or wondering why your last application was unsuccessful?

This intensive half-day workshop provides students with a foundation for submitting successful graduate student grant and fellowship applications. Topics covered include: identifying funding opportunities, developing components of the proposal, establishing timelines for productive writing and submission, and strategies and tips for proposal writing. Bring your questions!

The workshop is intended for those who wish to strengthen their grant writing skills in order to prepare and write winning fellowship proposals for external funding agencies and foundations.

Participants will learn to:
• Find the appropriate grant or fellowship program for your needs
• Develop strong proposals and application essays
• Identify and avoid common proposal weaknesses
• Maximize your application for competitiveness
• Understand the review and selection process for major awards

Attendees can schedule a one-on-one fellowships coaching session with fellowships advisors.
