Philly Radness

April 5, 2016

April 5 - May 22, 2016
Opening Reception Thursday, April 7 from 5–7 p.m.

Eric Schoenborn and Ed Selego join up with Nocturnal skate shop to transform the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery into a skateboarding oasis in Philly Radness. This is the second iteration of the Phenomenal Radness project after it’s debut in Miami a few years ago. “We turned life into an animated GIF and skated it” the collaborators say. The site-specific installation is a skateable, projection mapped, generative art sculpture. Using video projections from Philadelphia based skate videographers Chris Mulhern and Josh Stewart, alongside photographs provided by Nocturnal skate shop the exhibition is a multimedia representation of skateboard culture in Philadelphia. Check out http://phenomenalradness.com to see footage and images from the installation in Miami.
