Student Conference on Global Challenges
The Annual Student Conference on Global Challenges, held since 2008, offers students opportunities to share their research and engage in critical reflection and dialogue around a major global challenge theme such as, water, urban spaces, gender, and energy and the environment. The day-long program of six student panels, moderated by faculty members, is punctuated by keynote speakers and numerous opportunities for student engagement and networking. This unique event is the only one of its kind on Drexel’s campus and attracts undergraduate and graduate student panelists and audience participants from across the university and the community at large. Over 1,600 individuals have participated since 2008 and the conference continues to grow each year.

Some of the biggest global challenges that we face today have to do with providing people with clean, safe, efficient, and affordable energy and countering the negative effects of climate change. With increasing global interdependence we need to tackle these challenges both locally and globally and from a variety of different perspectives – scientific, economic, political, social, and cultural. Check back throughout the year for updates about this year's conference!
