On November 15, Drexel's Study Abroad Office hosted the 2017 Annual FIE Passport Day to give students access to new passports. The Global Engagement Scholars program offers acknowledgement of students' global engagement during their undergraduate academic careers. Besides recognition on students' transcripts, the program provides a valuable network of globally-minded students, faculty, and staff.
With support from benefactors Dana and David Dornsife, Drexel established the Dornsife Global Development Scholars program in 2014. On March 27, 2017, Provost M. Brian Blake was joined by Dr. Julie Mostov, Senior Vice Provost for Global Initiatives, Dr. James Herbert, Dean of the Graduate College, and Rector Zvi HaCohen to sign a new dual Ph.D. agreement between Ben Gurion University and Drexel University. Other Drexel faculty members who have collaborated with colleagues at BGU attended, as well, to celebrate the new, collaborative doctoral program that was established by the agreement.

This consulting project builds off of existing work of the Dornsife Global Development Scholars Program to advise World Vision on one of its mission-fulfilling programs – Project WASH (Clean Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene) in Zambia. This program aims to provide access to clean water to vulnerable communities.
This new program, launched by the French Embassy in the United States and the FACE Foundation with the support of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, aims to encourage and support cooperation among the most promising young French and American researchers, and foster forward-looking collaborative research projects.
