Idris works on experiential learning opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa and Cuba. He co-leads intensive course abroad in Cuba, Senegal, and The Gambia that focus on traditional health practices, community health, culture, and population health. Additionally, Idris manages the Dornsife Global Development Scholars Program, where students of all majors and matriculation levels are trained to work alongside World Vision in over 50 low- and middle-income countries on projects related to global health and international development. Idris is a current doctoral student where his research interests are in health equity in the African diasporic community.
