Online Note Taker Training
Thank you for having volunteered to provide a copy of your notes to a classmate who has a disability. This online training program will help you understand the following:
- Unit One: The purpose of note-taking services at Drexel University
- Unit Two: Your responsibilities as a note-taker
- Unit Three: Strategies for providing effective notes
Each unit begins with a lecture and a brief quiz. You must complete the quiz before proceeding to the next unit. Unfortunately, the system cannot save your answers until you have completed each unit quiz. If you must stop the quiz, you will have to retake the quiz.
After completing all three units, complete the Note-Taker Agreement Form and forward it to the Office of Disability Resources at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will then be contacted with instructions for providing your classmate with notes. The Office of Disability Resources will not exchange your contact information with the student receiving the notes.
The Office of Disability Resources has developed a recognition program for students who participate as note-taking volunteers. As a gesture of thanks and in recognition of their service, volunteers are eligible to receive a Letter of Recommendation. At the end of the term, the Office of Disability Resources will notify you by email with details regarding the receipt of this letter.
