ODR Provides Resources
for Campus Faculty, Staff and Guests
Workshops and programming
ODR is already
involved in providing a variety of outreach events and educational
opportunities for the greater Drexel community.
Currently, seminars on providing accommodations to students with
disabilities, disability law best practices, and the role of the Office of
Disability Resources are available to faculty, staff, and administrators at
Drexel University upon request. ODR also works with the Office of Equality and
Diversity in organizing disability awareness and outreach events, bringing
speakers to campus, and increasing the understanding of what it is to be a
person with a disability at Drexel University.
As the only office on
campus charged with the responsibility of enforcing and overseeing academic
accommodations based on a disability, ODR offers consultation services for any
professor/instructor, staff member, or parent who has questions regarding a
student with a disability or providing an accommodation. The Office of Disability Resources can be
reached by phone at (215)895-1401, e-mail at email@example.com.
Important Note on Confidentiality
The Office of Disability Resources is responsible
for keeping information regarding a student’s disability confidential.
Any diagnosis, medical documentation, or
case file cannot be discussed with parents, faculty, or staff without the
expressed written consent of the student.
Otherwise, ODR can only share
limited information on a student’s accommodations with those individuals on
campus who have a “need to know”.
