ALL organizations need to get Recognized annually to become an official Student Organization!
Recognition does expire, and student organizations must apply for and receive Recognition annually based on the University’s fiscal year, which begins July 1st and ends June 30th.
With 300+ student organizations at various stages of recognition, the process can take approximately three (3) weeks. The recognition cycle will be open from Monday, July 9 to Friday, November 9, 2012 at 5:00pm. For pre-existing groups, recognition does expire and needs to be renewed every year.
At any time, organizations can check on the status of their recognition by going to the organizations page within CollegiateLink. Updated information for all recognized 2012-2013 student organizations can be found by searching the online directory available in CollegiateLink. First, click on the image below to search for your organization alphabetically or by category / classification - then follow the additional instructions below after logging in with your Drexel UserID/Password:
Once you are logged in and have clicked on your organizations page within CollegiateLink, click on the “
” tab listed above the group profile description in the "About Us" section:

Scroll down to the end of the profile description and you'll see the section entitled
"
". Under this section, if you see steps #00, #01, #02 & #03 listed, your organization is officially recognized and the "Date of Completed Recognition" will be posted. If any of steps are missing, recognition has not yet been fully completed (see below):
Upon completion of these final steps in the process, your student organization will become officially recognized for 2012-2013! Upon recognition, your organization will be assigned a mailbox number in the SORC and a copier code. Treasurer Training is not mandatory to become officially recognized for the academic year; however, it is required in order for your organization to gain access to your financial accounts - therefore, please refer to the SAFAC website (www.drexel.edu/safac) for details regarding the trainings and for further information.
