Q: Who can attend CEO LEAD workshops?
A: CEO LEAD workshops are open to all undergraduate and graduate students at Drexel University who wish to learn leadership and organizational skills and strategies. Members and leaders of student organizations are highly encouraged to attend. Drexel alumni are also welcome.
Q: How do I earn a Certificate OR which workshops should I attend to earn a Certificate?
A: Detailed descriptions and requirements for each certificate can be found here. The CEO LEAD Certificate most often earned is the Personal Leadership Certificate. The requirements for this certificate are to attend any 6 workshops offered throughout the academic year.
Q: How do I sign up for CEO LEAD workshops OR do I have to sign up prior to attending workshops?
A: Students are encouraged to arrive at CEO LEAD workshops and simply fill out the attendance sign-in sheets. The Office of Campus Activities keeps all attendance records. In cases where advance registration is requested, a registration link will be provided in the workshop description.
Q: When and how is the workshop schedule publicized?
A: The CEO LEAD workshop schedule is planned and advertised on a per term basis. CEO LEAD workshop schedules are available on the web at the beginning of each term. Students are strongly encouraged to visit the online schedule and join the CEO LEAD Listserv for weekly email updates.
Q: What happens if a workshop is cancelled or rescheduled?
A: When workshops need to be cancelled and/or rescheduled, there are two ways students can find out about these changes: 1) primarily through the CEO LEAD Listserv, and 2) on the website.
Q: Can I earn more than one Certificate in a year?
A: Any student can earn multiple Certificates in a single year. Thus far, students have earned between 1 and 4 Certificates in a single year?
Q: Can I earn a CEO LEAD Certificate multiple times in multiple years?
A: Absolutely. Many students earn CEO LEAD Certificates year after year as they continue to develop their personal and professional leadership skills.
Q: How much time do I have in order to complete the requirements to earn a Certificate?
A: Certificate requirements can be fulfilled over the course of an entire academic year, from the Summer Term through the following Spring Term. Certificates do not have to be earned in one term alone, but must be earned within one academic year.
Q: How do I get my Certificate once I have completed the requirements?
A: The CEO LEAD Program holds a Recognition Reception nesar the end of every Spring Term. All students who have earned Certificates over the course of the entire academic year are invited and receive awards at that time.
Q: How can I find out how many workshops I have attended thus far?
A: Students can email CEOLEAD@drexel.edu for attendance records. All students will receive periodic emails throughout the year with a listing of CEO LEAD workshops attended thus far.
Q: Can one CEO LEAD workshop be used toward earning multiple Certificates?
A: Unless a workshop is required for multiple Certificates, all CEO LEAD workshops can be applied toward one Certificate's requirements.
Q: What is a "CEO LEAD Certified" Workshop?
A: An event planned by a student organization or campus partner (Drexel office or department) that creates additional leadership development opportunities for the Drexel student body. Events that qualify to be "CEO Certified" will be listed on the master CEO Program calendar, and all students attending the event will receive (1) CEO credit. All "CEO Certified" events will be marketed and promoted by the Office of Campus Activities.
Q: What is a "CEO LEAD Certified" Workshop?
A: A workshop planned by a student organization or campus partner (Drexel office or department) that creates leadership development opportunities for the Drexel student body. Workshops that qualify to be "CEO LEAD Certified" will be listed on the master CEO LEAD Program calendar, included in the weekly listserv email, and all students attending the event will receive (1) CEO LEAD credit (Click here for program certification requirements). All "CEO LEAD Certified" Workshops will be marketed by the CEO LEAD Program.
Q: How do I get my organization's/department's workshop to be "CEO LEAD Certified"?
A: Complete the "CEO LEAD Certified Workshop Request Form" and send it to CEOLEAD@drexel.edu at least two (2) weeks prior to your workshop date. Upon submission, your request will be reviewed and considered for the CEO LEAD calendar. You will be notified within one week of your submission date as to whether or not your workshop/event qualifies as a “CEO LEAD Certified” Workshop.
Q: Once my workshop request is approved and is "CEO LEAD Certified", what do I do now?
A: Include the following message with any workshop advertising (i.e. flyers, DrexelNow, InfoNet, etc.): *This is a "CEO LEAD Certified" Workshop. For more details, visit http://drexel.edu/oca/leadership. In addition, all marketing materials should include the CEO LEAD logo (click to download) and copies should be emailed to CEOLEAD@drexel.edu. Ensure that your attendees receive CEO LEAD credit: you will need to track workshop attendance and have the audience complete a brief 60-second survey evaluation (Click to download sign-in sheet templates and survey evaluations). Submit Workshop Sign-in Sheets and 60-Second Surveys within 72-hours after the conclusion of your workshop. Electronic copies can be submitted via email to CEOLEAD@drexel.edu. Alternately, hard copies of these materials can be dropped off in the mailbox located outside of the office of the Associate Director of Campus Activities (Room 32F in the SORC – lower level, Creese Student Center - 3210 Chestnut Street).
