Mission : The Career Wardrobe is a nonprofit organization that empowers low-income women returning to the workforce to succeed through providing professional clothing and workshops that educate and inspire women towards an independent future. Since outfitting our first client in 1995, The Career Wardrobe has provided over 30,000 women throughout the Philadelphia region with the “finishing touch” they need to be successful in their job search.

Mission : Multi-purpose social service agency providing counseling, case management, material assistance (including shelter and emergency food and clothing), and volunteer placement services to all persons regardless of age, race and religion. Special holiday opportunities available, including serving meals to homeless, "adopting-a-family" for Thanksgiving or Christmas, and donating non-perishable food, baby items, and personal care items for those in need.

Mission: CHOICE, founded in 1971, serves as a clearinghouse of reproductive and sexual health information, including family planning, pregnancy options and disease transmission/prevention. CHOICE provides referrals, counseling, education and advocacy to more than 50,000 people annually, the majority of them teens and low income women of color with children who are not well served by traditional institutions. CHOICE also helps families obtain free or low cost health care and insurance for their eligible children. Most of CHOICE's services are delivered over confidential, bilingual (Spanish/English) telephone hotlines staffed by trained, professional counselors. All hotline services are free and accessible to the deaf and hearing impaired.

Mission : Since 1971, Women In Transition (WIT) has worked to empower women who are endangered by domestic violence and/or substance abuse to make positive changes in their lives, eliminate their vulnerability to oppressive and abusive relationships, and build lives for themselves and their children that are free of substance abuse and violence. WIT also takes a leadership role in educating the community - from neighbors and friends, to the medical establishment, business leaders, the police, and elected officials - about the linkages between domestic violence, substance abuse, child abuse and community violence in an effort to establish a network that will promote safety and justice for vulnerable women and children.
