Donations Sought for Banners to Bags
A program aimed at turning outdated Drexel banners into new bags is still taking donations.
The Banners to Bags program started at Drexel in April 2015. It uses old banners used to promote events as material for making useful bags.
A partnership with Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia, the program also helps ex-offenders get back into the workforce by teaching them a skill through making the bags.
Drexel hopes to increase its donations, so any leftover, heavy-duty material like vinyl, canvas or nylon can be brought to LeBow Engineering Building, Room 239.
The end goal is to have enough bags so that they can be sold at the University Bookstore
