'Take a Faculty Member to Lunch' Program

Have you ever met a faculty member that you'd like to learn more about? Wonder how he or she got into research, teaching or writing? Maybe you wanted to run an idea past a professor you admire and respect or ask for an opinion about graduate school, career preparation or study abroad? How do you make that happen?

Well, office hours are definitely an option, but we want to offer you yet another great opportunity.

Student Affairs and the Office of the Provost have partnered to make lunch tickets available for student and faculty pairs to have lunch at "The Hans" (Handschumacher Dining Center) sometime this winter quarter.

Tickets are available first come, first served by contacting Kia J. Perkins, You will need to pick up your tickets in the Office of the Dean of Students, Creese 215, after confirming availability. When you contact Kia to make your reservation, please be sure to have the name of the professor, the professor's e-mail address, the name of the professor's academic department, and the date you wish to go to lunch.

The goal is to offer students and faculty some quality time together to talk about mutually important topics. We all deserve to take that time out of our busy days for these conversations!

We hope you will take advantage of this special opportunity!
