Two-Year Residency Program and 2014-15 University Housing Application Process

The Drexel University Two-Year Residency Program has been developed to provide a living environment that complements the student’s educational experience and contributes to the student’s growth as a member of the University community and beyond. To facilitate this experience, full-time undergraduate students whose permanent address, as stated in their official University Record, is outside of an approximately 10-mile radius of the University City Campus, are required to live in a Drexel residence hall, University-affiliated housing or a University-approved property for their first and second years.
Specifically, first-year (freshman) students live in a Drexel residence hall; second-year (sophomore) students may live in a Drexel residence hall, Drexel fraternity or sorority house (invitation from the organization required), University-affiliated housing or a University-approved property.

For current students interested in continuing to reside in a University Residence Hall, Returning Student Housing Applications for 2014-2015 will be available beginning Jan. 15.

Securing housing for 2014-2015 is a four-step process:

  1. Submit a $200 housing deposit. Housing deposits should be paid online by following the steps provided at this link. Students must submit the $200 housing deposit 24 hours before they can gain access to the housing application.

  2. Complete the 2014-2015 Housing Application in MyHousing.

  3. Self-selection information will be sent via students’ Drexel email account later in the winter term.

  4. Students must complete the Location Registration Form in MyHousing after their 2014-2015 housing is secured.
