Senior project offers look at Philadelphia music industry

Want to network and learn more about the Philadelphia music scene? Thanks to one Drexel student's senior project, you can. 

Student Sarah Glorioso has organized a panel featuring members of the local music scene, including a producer for The Roots a representatives from Warner Brothers/Sire Records and WXPN/The Key. The event, called "Philly Music Spectrum," is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill St. The panelists will discuss how they succeeded in their fields and how they each use social media to their benefit. The event will also include drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a Q&A session. 

The event will feature:

• Khari Mateen, producer for The Roots

• Eric McLellan of Warner Brothers/Sire Records

• John Vettese of WXPN/The Key

• Marley McNamara, band manager for The Districts and Levee Drivers

• Nick Rizzuto of Fame House, who will serve as moderator
