Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter to Attend Black History Month Awards Banquet Tonight

PHILADELPHIA, February 15, 2008

What/Who: Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will be at Drexel tonight to celebrate Black History Month (BHM) with the Drexel University Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. The Black Engineers will hold their fifth Annual BHM Awards Banquet in celebration of minority excellence in science, technology and engineering. The event will celebrate past, present and future leaders in the science and engineering fields. Angela Dowd-Burton, manager of local government relations at Rohm and Haas Company, will deliver the keynote address. Mayor Nutter will also speak at the banquet.
