Rock 4 Roots: Recyclable Bottles, Cans Will Pay Students’ Way Into Drexel Sierra Club Concert
Philadelphia,
April 21, 2008
What: Drexel students will pack the Philadelphia Armory to watch a five-act concert. Rather than show the green, students will each drop off a minimum of two aluminum, glass or plastic containers at the door to gain admission.
The Drexel Sierra Club’s Rock 4 Roots show will cap the Drexel Green Initiative’s Earth Week 2008 activities, which include lectures and film screenings. Students who donate enough containers to fill a 5 gallon bucket will get raffle tickets for prizes.
The five acts scheduled to perform — Breaking the Silence, Drop Collective, Leiana, Matt Duke and Papa Midnight — are based in Greater Philadelphia.
Visuals:
• Students placing bottles, cans and jars into bins to “pay” admission to the show

When: Saturday, April 26, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show will begin at 7 p.m.
