Broadway Star Seth Rudetsky Holds Master Class, Performs One-man Show at Drexel
October 12, 2011
Broadway performer Seth Rudetsky will hold a master class and perform his one-man show Deconstructing Broadway
on October 24.
The Kal & Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies will host Seth Rudetsky, Sirius/XM Radio and Broadway star, for a performance and master class on creating the perfect Broadway audition, on Monday, October 24, 2011 in the Mandell Theater (33rd & Chestnut Sts). Rudetsky will perform his hilarious one-man show, Deconstructing Broadway, at 8 p.m. after the master class from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
An actor, musician, comic, singer, writer and radio host, Rudetsky has played piano for more than a dozen Broadway shows and has written and directed countless live performances. There isn’t a Broadway diva he doesn’t know or a show tune he hasn’t sung. He is the multitalented and sharp-tongued host of Sirius/XM’s daily Broadway show. He was recently featured on the Emmy-Award-winning Kathy Griffin Show on Bravo.
Rudetsky will bring his own private video and audio collection to show Drexel audiences how to deconstruct what's vocally amazing and what's a vocal travesty. Video highlights include the short-lived Brady Bunch Variety Hour and Cher performing all of the roles in West Side Story. Seth’s enthusiasm for vocal talents and his love of theater are infectious and his on stage delivery of material never fails to deliver side-splitting laughter.
Tickets for the show are $10, but are free with a student ID. For others, tickets can be purchased by calling 215-895-ARTS or at the Mandell Theater box office one hour prior to the performance. If you would like to attend the master class, email Zeek Weil at email@example.com.
