Statement From Drexel President John Fry on Violence at Protests in Charlottesville
August 14, 2017
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Charlottesville victims, their families and the broader University of Virginia community. While free speech remains the bedrock of our democracy, there is no place in a civil society — let alone on a university campus — for bigotry, hate, anti-Semitism and violence. The neo-Nazi, KKK and white supremacist groups that marched in Charlottesville undermine the values of our country. All leaders must condemn these marchers’ repugnant world view.
