CUCINA ZAPATA

Kelly Nolan

Cuisine: Mexican and Thai

Recommended by: Kelly Nolan, academic advisor, Center for Hospitality and Sport Management

What you’ll find: This University City staple is owned and run by Robert Zapata, one of Drexel’s fabulous alums, so you know this place has to be good! Cucina Zapata can be easily identified by its colorful graffiti design and the crowd of eager customers on the sidewalk beside it.  The grouping of Mexican and Thai cuisine is certainly not typical, but this truck pulls it off beautifully with bold and unique flavor combinations that are sure to please.
