Drexel Public Health Students to Give Out Free Health Tips in LOVE Park

What: Students from Drexel University’s School of Public Health will hand out health information and field questions from the public in LOVE Park in an effort to educate Philadelphians about personal and community wellness.The event, part of National Public Health Week, will feature information tables with health tips on topics including quitting smoking, proper nutrition, dealing with cancer for men and women and non-violence outreach efforts. Representatives from Drexel’s School of Public Health Program for LGBT Health will also be on hand. The Program for LGBT Health is designed to address health and wellness issues of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people through research and evaluation, education and training, partnering with health and social services providers and public health policy and advocacy.The City of Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management’s READY Philadelphia program will also staff a table to share tips for dealing with disasters.
